Has anyone bought the dog food that is sold at Costco? not the Kirkland brand but the other one that is something like taste of the wild grain free? Would you recommend this food? How is Iams as a food also? TIA |
OP here, the brands specifically in question of quality are Wild Sky and Kirkland's brand. Thanks! |
We used their lamb and rice dog food, and were pretty happy with it. Check the first three ingredients listed on the bag. I've seen dog foods marketed as high quality and protein, where one of the top ingredients was corn. |
I use the salmon/sweet potato one. It's rated highly on dog food advisor. |
And avoid anything by Natura. That includes EVO, Innova, and California Natural. They've recalled all their products because of salmonella. |
I buy the Kirkland brand, as long as the first ingredient is the meat and not corn youre good to go.
Our dogs have been fine on it. Dont but Iams, they support animal testing. If you go to peta.org and put Iams in the search field it comes up. |
Thanks so much! It looks like a good quality food at a great price, what more can one ask for? |
Ugh! It looks like there have been issues with the manufacturer--Diamond, who makes this Kirkland food with recalls. |
My dog does great on the lamb Kirkland. It is the only brand that does not give my dog the runs.

We use Kirkland grain free in the big blue bag -- great for my dogs and much cheaper! |
