Norfolk waterfront places to eat with kids?

Anonymous
I am cross posting from the Travel section...
We are planning a family trip to Norfolk (mostly to visit the Nauticus maritime museum and battleship and explore the waterfront.) Anyone have recommendations for good family friendly places to eat nearby? Good food, or maybe a waterview restaurant where the food is not too terrible?
The only time I've been close to Norfolk (beside driving to OBX) was passing through on a boat via Portsmouth, which I remember had a boat taxi and some seafood restaurants.

I know someone who has a blog about things to do with kids in the Norfolk and VA Beach area. watermelonsgrow.blogspot.com

You might try emailing her through the contact link on her blog. I am thinking she would know some places to recommend.

Go up Granby street a bit. Do not eat at waterside mall - it is a chain restaurant nightmare.

If you can, drive over to Virginia Beach and eat at Bubba's. worth the trip.
