We've had this model for 2 years:

Got it at Bed, Bath, & Beyond with a 20% off coupon (in case it was terrible, since they take back pretty much anything). The Amazon price is very good. We've had the smaller Cuisinart models in the past and this one is just so much better. |

I have this too and it makes terrible waffles. It takes forever and they don't get crisp at all. |
