Hypothyroid: looking for doc who will prescribe Armour

I'm in my tenth year of Hashimoto's and simply fed up with the Synthroid BS. The only time I've felt good was the year I took meds prescribed in Europe. I've done both Synthroid and Cytomel and their generics--no change. Ever.

I need to find a GP or endocrinologist who will stop looking soley at blood tests to measure my health and who will at least TRY some alternative therapies. I'm looking in DC, where I live and Bethesda/Rockville, where I work. Any recommendations?
