Are beyblades still popular with boys?

| I'm shopping for a birthday gift for my cousins son who is turning 7 yrs old. A couple of years back, beyblades were very popular with boys around that age. Are kids still playing with them? If not, what are other gift ideas that you'd suggest? I only have girls, so I don't know what boys play with. Thanks |

My 7 year old was invited to a "beyblade theme" party that will happen in a few weeks, so apparently they are still popular.

I think it really depends on the kid. Kids seem dedicated in to camps. My 8 year old loves beyblades. Our 7 year old neighbor loves Star Wars.
They are still fun though, so I think it's a good bet. |

| My 10 year old's new thing is making origami Yoda characters. It's based on the book series. Mindcraft is still going strong in our house, and they like Skylanders video game with all of the action figures that go along with it. |

My 7 year old nephew loves them. I was surprised they are still around, because my 20 year old played with them when he was young.

This! Most likely to be appealing to a variety of kids. Beyblades appeal to a small segment of kids. The ones who like them, really like them. Otherwise, the kids don't play with them. |
