are there any luxury resorts we can take kids?

We want to take DD who will be around 17 mos to the caribbean in Oct/Nov.
We actually like quiet and relaxing not loud kids running all over the place.
Any suggestions?

what will your 17mo old be doing?

Ritz Carlton Grand Cayman - luxurious, great service, fantastic food and very family friendly

I can't imagine any resort where it will be okay for your 17 mo old to be running around acting like a toddler, but where there won't be other kids doing the same thing.

Yes! Amazing place.

Please share details about what makes it amazing. I am about to confirm the Grand Cayman's. renting condo. Very nice. Not luxurious. Can anyone compare locales? Is this a place where you can grt a rental car and explore? Are the beaches beautiful? Did cancun and hated it!

OP here, I guess my point with the kids was, were not looking for a place totally geared towards kids/families. Not looking for loud partying atmosphere, We get that other kids will be at a resort if we can take ours.

we went to Atlantis in the Bahamas with the kids. Most amazing waterpark anywhere. About $500 a night as I recall.

Yes, you should rent a car on grand cayman and explore....it's totally safe. And with a kid, I'd rather stay in a condo than at the ritz. There's a large grocery store where you can stock up. The island has some playgrounds, the turtle farm, etc. Great restaurants....just head out for early dinners with the little one.

But it's not even close to luxurious.

Tacky. Crowded. A 17 month cannot go on the rides. Hotels are high rises. Takes 10-15 minutes to walk from room to pool or beach. You'd need a stroller and to pack a bag every time you leave your room.

Try Round Hill in Jamaica.

Just go somewhere really expensive that does not outright prohibit kids.
