She said she told her shrink. No evidence was provided to back this up.

The White House wouldn’t allow a full investigation, shouldn’t be surprised they didn’t do a full investigation. If you have a problem with that, I’m sure you can call the GOP and give’em hell.

Weird comment. She refused to hand over to the Senate the psychiatrist note which she reportedly had given to the WAPO reporter.

Also confused. Were Ds demanding a full investigation CBF including her medical record, the building and rental history of her addition with the second door, her former BF who said he recollected her saying nothing about what she claimed, her multiple long distance flights despite a fear of flying, etc?

She might win. You lose all credibility if you declare that anything is certain.

Nothing is certain but I know many folks in Maine.

They would die in laughter reading this thread.

Maine has 1.3 million people. How many do you know?

+1 I know a lot of Mainers too. And many of them hate Trump's administration of chaos and incivility. And they're not too keen on Susan Collins either...her opponent is pretty strong and has a good shot.

And, just look at the latest disaster in the NYT. Two key things from that book--Leland Keyser stood firm even though she felt she was under great pressure from friends, and the latest "victim" refused to talk to press and told friends that she had no recollection of the event Stiers described. Pretty significant facts to be left out of a newspaper--even in an op-ed."

Nobody is talking about a conviction.

We're talking about a job interview, for the 1000th time.

So, you think false accusations should keep someone from getting a job? I disagree.

They're not proven false. They, along with everything else, point to a flawed character.

He should not have one of the most important lifelong appointments in the country.

Not as flawed as the setup by Feinstein and her cohort. I used to admire Feinstein.

Why'd she sit on the info for so long. That was pathetic.

It was their Hail Mary that they hoped they wouldn't have to use. But, everything else failed. So, out came the bogus allegations.
Disgusting.

The GOP front faced this to distract from the actual disqualifying nuggets - the lying on the record during the W administration and the financials. There is a reason Feinstein didn't leak this and was upset about it. The chaos played right into the GOP hands.

What was the reason?

And now they get to play victim again. So the gop day is made!

Stuff like this is why my heart wants Warren even while my brain says Biden is best

https://www.thedailybeast.com/elizabeth-warrens-campaign-is-putting-resources-into-defeating-susan-collins/

Sen. Elizabeth Warren’s (D-MA) presidential campaign is putting resources into Maine, where it hopes to help unseat Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) in one of the most high-profile Senate races of this cycle.

A new memo sent to supporters on Tuesday from Warren’s campaign manager Roger Lau details a series of investments on state directors and organizers for states that vote and caucus in March. The campaign, Lau writes, is devoting these resources not just to boost Warren ahead of primary voting but to assist Democrats in marquee Senate, House, and state legislative contests in 2020. Among the target list Lau offered was Maine, where Collins is facing a number of potential Democratic challengers including Maine House Speaker Sara Gideon.

“We're hiring state directors and organizers in a number of states that have primaries and caucuses in March. And we're targeting our resources to invest in places that will be critical to keeping the House, taking back the U.S. Senate, and regaining ground in key state legislatures in 2020,” Lau wrote. “That includes states like Illinois and California, where Democrats won a whole bunch of House seats in 2018 in close elections that we'll need to defend. It also includes states like Maine, which has a competitive Senate race and Georgia, where there will be two Senate seats up for election.”

I like this.

I’m sure Susan will be very concerned. Maybe even troubled.

I live in Maine, posting from south Portland right now.

Anyone who thinks Collins is a sure thing up here is in a bubble. Sure maybe up in aroostook whatever but there's a lot more people down in Cumberland country and she is not winning easily down here.

I hate her. I hope she loses and loses big. She has no loyalty to Maine or ever fights for Maine

Little bit of history there - I’m sure Warren would LOVE to see Collins defeated.
