| I was at Target today. Seemed to be long lines per usual. |
Oh wow, I guess Target shouldn’t have fired the CEO given this breaking news. Or, are you just here to proudly say you don’t care about DEI or small black businesses. In any case, do better. |
lol you keep posting this and the stock prices keep falling and the sales figures keep collapsing. But sure, internet rando! |
They’re here to do the work of those who want people with relatively little power to give that up as well. No one buys it. |
Could also just be that there's not a huge market for these items, which is what Target has said. Their black beauty products just sat on the shelves. And the number of people going out of their way to buy random items from black owned businesses probably peaked in 2021 and has been declining since. |
+1 I love Target |
Same at my Target with the half empty parking lot. I think it's because they've let go of so many staff. Which seems like a terrible move. First time I've been in there in months but needed something before DS left town for college. The store was in shambles and the lines were long. Reminded me that there really is nothing there to miss. |
I guess it was a loss leader they should have kept. Oh well. And, yeah I’m sure they were telling the truth to appease the people who said Haitians were eating cats and dogs. |

Seven straight months of reduced foot traffic and no back-to-school numb this year. Walmart slight uptick Costco continues gains, even with bad economy.

| I was going to consider going back to Target when I saw that their CEO was leaving, but then I saw the he is merely going over to Target’s Board of Directors. No thank you, Target. |
And Trump can’t even bother to throw Target a bone so that his followers begin shopping at Target. Target FA and is FO who keep them financially solvent and it wasn’t the Trump voters. |
On Labor Day, right before back to school shopping’s biggest day, the Teacher’s Union joined the boycott against Target |
|
Anecdotal I know, but at my school teachers frequently bring up avoiding Target and share alternative places to shop and purchase supplies, etc.
|
Wait, so now you are okay with a slight uptick in Walmart? Wasn’t it not too long ago people were anti Walmart too? |
PP is just reporting the news. No one on DCUM who is boycotting target is recommending going to Walmart. The only place I have seen recommended to replace Target is Costco. I have become a member and that replaces a lot of what I used to get a Target. And I now go to a small old school hardware store. It hasn't been hard at all for me to give up Target. For me, t is more of an effort to give up Amazon but I have drastically reduced what we spend on Amazon. |
