I realized I hated her on the first book. It was so awful. It was a contrived story about a teenage suicide pact that I thought played on every scared housewife’s basest fears. Reading Lolita in Tehran was another disappointment. I’d heard such good things. But as I remember it, it just kept emphasizing over and over the audacity with which they were reading Lolita…in Tehran. |

It didn't. It was just a long borefest and they keep making stupid movies about it over and over!! WHY?! |
