I am so happy and relieved. I am laughing at all the friends on my facebook who are putting their status as "scared"(not that many). Are you serious???? What the hell are you scared of???? That Obama might further the cause of PEACE????

One is very pro-life (guess she's scared he's going to force us all to have abortions and marry gay) and the other is rich, guess she's afraid she'll have to contribute $20 a year to some poor kid's health insurance....

Even Republicans can appreciate the historic nature of this moment. I voted for McCain, but I am still excited and happy to see a black man win the presidency. It turns an important page. Now the real work begins ... I am hopeful that Obama is more moderate than liberal. But I don't see any reason to be "scared" for our future. Of course, I didn't much care for Sarah Palin, yet she didn't "scare" me either!!
