I really hope it's ok that I post this here, or that maybe Jeff will consider letting it stay up for a couple of hours.
If you don't have anything going on today, consider helping support a Vet in his post military aspirations! Food Network is headed to Annapolis/DC area this weekend to film the season 4 finale of The Next Great Food Truck Race. They will be in Silver Spring today, and DC later this afternoon/evening. Shaun is an Army veteran and team lead of Tikka Tikka Taco. Since his return from Afghanistan his goal has been to get up and running in the food truck business. Of the remaining teams, their food is by far the best! I'm hoping you all can help me spread the word..... For the past few weeks (since their stop in our town!) a small team of military spouses has been trying to get the word out in support of our favorite team Tikka Tikka Taco. Message from Tikka Tikka Taco: "Reminder that we are in the final day of the Finale! We are headed to Silver Spring, MD and will probably be there by Noon! Not sure how long they will let us stay before sending us into DC. Team, we are the underdogs at this point. Please help my brother's post-deployment career get started by winning this truck. I promise we'll make you proud to be a part of it. It's all about today's total sales. THANK YOU!" Follow their tweets or FB for their most up to date news, but I just read they're at Silver Spring location now. And I'm so sorry, I don't watch the show and didn't realize it was that type of show. I should have, though, duh, it's elimination and has to be taped before airing. Again, I'm sorry!! (BTW, glad I deleted how many trucks are left - because that was part of the info I received!  I just didn't think it was relevant and was trying to cut down on the post length.)

Even more reasons to support Tikka Tikka Taco food truck today. Not only did Shaun Swaleh serve in Afghanistan, but his brother Joey Swaleh served in Afghanistan last year and has returned safe and sound. And their younger brother Steven is currenly in the Army and is scheduled to be deployed in October. All 3 brothers have served in the Army. Please help Shaun get his post-deployment career started. If they win, they take home the food truck and cash. Thanks again. This is his Auntie.
