I'm 2 weeks away from my due date and I noticed last night that my areolas are really dry....looking at them you can see some white patches of skin, and touching them, they feel dry. No itching or other discomfort. No new lotion/bath products....
Anyone else experience this? |
I've had this throughout my pregnancy - I'm also over 38 weeks. I just have to be really vigilent with lotion (Trader Joe's "A Midsummer Night's Cream") at least twice a day. To miss brings back the itchy patches and visible dry skin. Hang in there! |
You might try using some Lansinoh -- it's what moms use once they start breastfeeding, but you can use it throughout pregnancy. Fragrance-free and totally natural. A little greasy, but VERY soothing. |
I've heard that regular lotions aren't good to use at the end of pregnancy because they can clog up the holes where the milk comes out. |
