sulfite allergy

I had some skin testing done and tested positive for a sulfite allergy. Anyone else? Curious if anyone has tried to cut sulfites out of their diet and seen health benefits?

I have it. Didn't think there was a skin test-- figured it out a few years ago by process of elimination and never really wanted to do a challenge.

I react badly to large quantities, but I don't worry about small quantities (e.g. in avocados).

My kid just had skin allergy testing done and she's allergic to some random metal that's sometimes an additive in skin creams, shampoos, etc.

The allergist sent us a list of products containing this substance. If you're concerned, I would ask if your allergist can do this for you. It was from a database. There might be hidden sources of sulfites in products you use.
