Infants, Toddlers, & Preschoolers
My husband is from the Czech Republic and though we had ever intentiion of speaking Czech with our now almost three year old son we of course totally fell down on the job, so now before it is way too late we are hoping to find some sort of something for our son to learn Czech. I heard of a school which offers fun language classes for toddlers on Saturdays. I don't know anything else about it and was hoping some one out there might. A Czech babysitter would be nice as well If anyone knows of any. My now horrible Czech could also use major help so I would love to take the class with my son. Three year old Czech would be about my spead, probably beyond it Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

| Hi - I am Czech, my DH American and am in similar boat! We also have a 3 yo. Where do you live? |
| Silver Spring. Glad to hear we are not the only ones who lapsed on the second language. Where do you guys live? |

We are in Rockville. We have not quite "lapsed" on it but it is just difficult in general to teach a language when I am the only person talking it to him/and her (have a 10 mos DD). We try to meet with other Czech/families ...if you want, email me at phasova1@yahoo.com and we can chat more ...
Maybe somebody else will chime in on the lessons as well, I was thinking about a tutor recently too. |
