A good friend's daughter is getting Bat Mitzvah'd and I'd like my gift to be the music--a DJ who preferably can lead a few Israeli dances and perhaps games. The Bat Mitzvah will be in rural Maryland, between DC and Baltimore. Traditional klezmer music, Israeli tunes and whatever 12-year olds are dancing to these days (?? I have a three-year old.)
Thank you for any recommendations. |
| I have no recommendations for you but what an awesome gift! |
| Bristol Sounds Deejays has been around for 25+ years and they are fantastic. They do everything and are reasonably priced. (301) 473-3000 |
| NYX entertainment is fabulous. Deal with Sandra. She will take good care of you. |
| Are you considering live musicians for the klezmer and Israeli dancing? If so, I'd have some recommendations there. That's what we did for our DD's bat mitzvah and they were fabulous! Way better than recorded music, and more affordable than I would have expected. |
| NYX is great. Also Bialek's Music and Washington Talent Agency. |
| Oh, I would love to go to a bar/bat mitzvah with live klezmer music! Dunno if the 12/13-year-olds would agree, though... |
|
Thank you, thank you, for all these recommendations! I personally would go for live music and bottle dancers--but I don't think the 12-year olds would agree.
Now, when she gets MARRIED--different story. Thanks again! |
a whole night of klezmer music doesn't sound that fun. I think a dj is a better option and more fun. |
| My deejay.com is fantastic despite heir stupid name! |
|
Any others ? Thanks.

| Way was wrong with the suggestions you were given? I'm in the events industry and many of these are perfect suggestions. Another vote for NYX, bialeks, or MyDeejay |
