| Am I a fool or is Zillow missing some critical info? Zillow does seem to have the total square footage correct including basement (even though the basement is unfinished). |
|
Zillow isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
Congrats on the house! |
| Zillow is a lagging indicator. It is accurate but by 6 months late in the DC area where prices are going up very fast. |
| Zillow is full of zhit. Did you look at comps? There's your answer. |
| I just looked at the Zillow for my house and it is $300k lower than the current market - based on a recent agent estimate and sales in the neighborhood. So I wouldn't put much stock in the Zillow estimate. |
|
Mine is $100K above my appraisal from about 6 weeks ago, done for a refinance. Don't get me wrong, I'd be delighted if my house were worth $950K, particularly since OP would apparently give me $1.05M.
|
| OUr zillow estimate is 500K too low. Ignore. |
|
you should try to correct it
send zillow a support request |
| Zillow is only mildly useful for fly over states where the suburban houses are all very similar. |
| Look at it this way: who do you trust more, the bank-hired appraiser whose employer has an interest in getting accurate information and who actually viewed the house, or a computer algorithm? |
| Zillow is not a "lagging indicator" -- it is garbage. |
Truth hurts on your house |
| Good luck buying a house for the Zillow price. Congrats, OP. If you have a good house, it does not matter what Zillow says. It is only ball park. Sort of. |
| I just checked my Zillow estimate for my house and the estimate went down 7k in the last 30 days. that doesn't make any sense at all.... I wonder what they are basing this info on? |
| Zillow hasn't updated SF since a renovation, so we're about $300k off on a $750k house. As someone said well, zillow is completely full of zhit. |
