Carmine's in the Penn Quarter

Is absolutely disgusting. What a horrible meal. Why is there such a fuss about how great this place is?

No clue but I agree. I went with a friend who loves it.

The food was blah; but the service was absolutely horrendous. Food and drinks took forever to be served; waiters were clueless; brought wrong orders to table, etc etc

Some ppl r obsessed w this place. Who knows. It's not bad but with so many other options, I wouldn't choose to go there.

People love or hate it. I happen to HATE it. Always cringe when I learn a holiday work lunch is going to be there. I eat before I go.

I went there once and there was a staple in our salad. My friend didn't notice it until she bit into it!!

It's easy for large groups, that's the only upside I see.

Agee. Horrible food, terrible service, and we found hair in our pasta!

Never again.

Ugh, my husband loves it, but for a family of 4, it's insane. The food we've had has actually been ok, not great but not terrible, but after eating it for days afterward it's not worth it.

I haven't been to the one here- but I have been to the one in NYC and in NJ (Atlantic City). I have had great meals and great service in both of those locations (food was fantastic as a matter of fact). So sad to hear the one here sucks.....

Fat people like it. Immense, ridiculous portions of subpar food.

Yes. Apparently the DC location is nothing like NYC.

You all should read yesterday's Post review of La Tagliatella - makes Carmine's look like Galileo and Maestro reborn.
