Schools in Charles County, MD (specifically Waldorf)

Can anyone give me any information on schools in the Waldorf area? In the next two years I have to make a decision about whether or not to put my daughter in private school or move into another county and/or state that has a better public school system. Overall I am underwhelmed with what I have heard about Charles County schools. I feel like the county lacks innovation and arent preparing our kids to compete in a global world. I'm looking for a school that will provide my daughter with a well rounded education, progressive thinking and exposure to diversity. I can leave or take a christian school as long as the academic preparation is the main focus. Both I and my husband attended Georgetown University in D.C., and while I would never force my daughter to attend Georgetown what I am interested in her attaining an education that will prepare her to compete at a school like Georgetown if that is her desire. I am extremely concerned that she will not get the necessary prepartion at in Charles County school that will adequately prepare her to be admitted to a school on Georgetown's level or much less compete at a school like Georgetown.

Calvert's schools are reputedly much better so not too far to move.
