Cheaper alternative to Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum

| I posted a few weeks ago about a product that would help make my thick hair less thick. I bought Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum based on someone's recommendations and I love it! It really makes the hair drying process quicker and it makes my hair so smooth. The only problem is the cost. Too expensive! Can anyone recommend a product that will do the same thing but is cheaper? I only use a tiny amount like the poster and the bottle recommends but I can't afford it on a teacher's budget. Thanks! |

Glad it works so well! I know it's like $16 a bottle, but it lasts me almost a whole year. If you have an Ulta near you, join their member rewards program. I get flyers in the mail (always with a coupon on front) and emails pretty frequently. I haven't found anything else that works as well and isn't greasy. |

I was in Sally's Beauty Supply last week and noticed that they make generics of some of the Paul Mitchell products. Maybe you can call and check?

It should last you a long time. If you have gone through it in a few weeks then you are using too much. A bottle lasts me over a year. |

| OP here. I bought the trial sized bottle just to see if I liked it. It is tiny. Less than an ounce or so. I used a dime sized amount and that's it. I did go into an Ulta for the first time a few months ago and I did get their card. I will try to get it with some of my points in a larger size. Thanks everyone! I was outside all day today and my hair felt smooth and not frizzy at all like when the humidity is high. |

| Another teacher here. I'm going on a year and a half with my 5.1 ounces. I bought mine at Amazon for cheaper than Ulta or a salon. I use about half the size of a dime for nearly shoulder length hair and it's plenty. |

| Be sure and check manufacture date on Paul Mitchell Products at Ulta, Smart Style and JC Penny's. Paul Mitchell Skinny and The Conditioner have manufacturer date of May 8, 2011. Those Products specifically state on bottles have a 18 months as 12 month expiration date. I am currently trying to contact Paul Mitchell in order to find out where I can buy New Fresh Product. |

| NP here and beauty idiot. Can you use this product without using a flat iron or blow drying? My teen DD has tons of fine hair and it gets very big and can be frizzy. I think it looks great but she feels it’s too big and frizzy. She does not style her hair and I’m wondering if she could apply the super skinny serum and see benefits anyway. Thanks. |
