| A comment on the other thread made me question people's views on "trashy" pets. Any specific animals, breeds or number of pets that you would consider trashy? |
| snakes, iguanas, rats, pit bulls |
| ferrets. |
| I believe owners are trashy not the pets. I have been in the home of a professional handler (show dogs) who was so clean you would never know one dog was there let alone the eight. Then I have been in homes of people with one or no pets and it was a mess. |
OMG yes. I came on to this thread to say just that. Ferrets are just all out gross. Everyone I knew that had one growing up also had a parent that owned a half-working Trans Am, had a mullet, chewed tobacco, and had horrible, Rice-A-Roni looking yellow shag carpet. |

Pit bulls.
Ferrets. |
| More than 2 cats or dogs. |
| Any situtation where the pets start to outnumber the humans in the home. |
|
ditto on the ferrets.
Also, most large reptiles. |
Not tortoises, though. Tortoises are cool. |
|
Purse dogs. Because they are too dumb to be trained, and people have them as accessories. The kind of people who own them are invariably trashy.
I would have said pit bulls, but because the trashy people didn't fix them and there now something like 60-70% of dogs in DC shelters are pit mixes, they are getting adopted by people who will train and socialize them, and becoming nicer pets. |
My German Shepherd disagrees. He was a service dog for five years. He's likely smarter than you. |
You have a purse big enough to carry a German Shepherd?? I thought purses were getting out of control huge these days, but sheesh! |
|
"teacup" anything, whether it's a yorkie or a potbelly pig.
Double points if it's a "teacup" smushed up name mutt (e.g. morkie, yorkiepoo, etc . . . ) |
Lol. |
