| I have a lot of hair (post babies) on my upper lip -all blond that i now pluck pretty regularly. There are a few dark hairs in there too. I can't wax because it causes breakouts. Now, as part of the lovely aging process, I have noticed some long dark hairs on my chair which I have immediately removed. There is also some peach fuzz there too - blond. I can of course see it but am wondering if anyone else can - what is the rule for removing hair? i.e. how far away do you have to be to make it something that is removable... should i be plucking these as well? . thank you! |

Ask a friend who you trust to be honest with you. I'm that friend and have nicely told people the truth when they approach me about it. I actually just had a friend ask me the other week about hair removal on her upper lip. After giving birth, her hair came in darker and she was so self conscious.
I decided to be like this after I wore an absolutely awful dress to a wedding (made me look like I was pregnant with weird boobs) and after I saw the pictures I asked my friends why no one told me and they all had the same answer...we didn't want to offend you. |

I hate having hair on my body no matter how little. I guess I am a bit OCD about it.
Just thread, they might be those freaky hormonal hairs that wont come back, but I def recommend threading over waxing. They have so many walk in salons now a days, they are inexpensive and they do a pretty good job. |

Fair skinned blonde here with middle age peach fuzz, blond, above lip. I shave it. Every day. It does not come in like a beard and does not grow in coarser. It adds about two seconds to my shower routine.
I also wax ( at home with the Sally Hansen wax strips) once a month. I can't stand seeing peach fuzz on the side of my face. It is noticeable in the sun. |

I get hormonal acne. So as I'm putting my contacts in I'm already scrutinizing my face for any new eruptions. If I can see any hairs (get fuzzy ones on each corner of my upper lip and long wiry hairs on my chinny chin chin) then I pluck them immediately. I figure if I can see it, then everyone else can too.
If waxing breaks you out you could try shaving or I think they make Nair/depillitories for your face. |
| thanks - waxing doesn't work for me. Threading is okay but doesn't that break the hair? Isn't it better to pull from the root so that it comes back less? |
| I use an electric shaver from Bliss. Hate facial hair- blond or otherwise. I pluck whatever I can see that's dark and shave off the rest. |
| I've been contemplating an epilator for my face. I bought a threading-like tool a few years ago, but I just don't have the time or privacy. I tweeze the dark and/or wiry ones (some are white and wiry) and just let the peach fuzz be. |
| I am having laser for my DD as soon as she turns 16. (She would do it today if the doc would let her!!) |
| I use Bliss's Fuzz Off once a month. Burns a little (it is a chemical after all), but then just fine. Easy to apply and takes very little time. I also have very sensitive skin, so I was happy that there was no long-term stinging or burning. |
| I believe that threading is supposed to remove hair at the root. |
Do you have a derm? I am one of those unlucky women who suffers frothis, as I have for years. It's beyond what I can pluck.

| Electrolysis. A wonder. Really worked. |

Put on 2+ reading glasses and take a look at your face in bright sunlight, e.g. in the car. You will have your answer.
I use Sally Hansen facial hair remover cream every couple of weeks. Better than waxing for my sensitive skin. |

I have so much fine, dark hair on my cheeks. I wax my lip and chin at home but am terrified to mess with my whole face! Should I just thread it? I'd rather have peach fuzz than stubble or bumps!
Also, if you shave your arm hair, does it grow back stubbly like the hair on your calves, or fairly soft? I really don't have the time and $$ to start waxing my arms! |
