ISO pine nuts . . .

that won't cause pine mouth syndrome. Any recommendations in MoCo?

(I am hoping there is someone out there who has suffered from pine mouth syndrome and was subsequently able to identify "safe" pine nuts. Since I experienced pine mouth a few years ago, I have largely avoided the nuts. But I am wanting to cook with them again. Thanks!)

I got some from TJ recently, and they were fine.

Actually Trader Joe's carries the Chinese ones which are hypothesized to be the source of pine mouth syndrome though the FDA has said the research is inconclusive.

? Pine mouth syndrome?

Oddly, Giant carries the longer, oilier turkish pine nuts, whereas WF only seems to have the chinese ones (shorter, drier).

Yes, "Pine Mouth Syndrome" also medically cacogeusia (after ingestion of pine nuts).

Thanks for the recommendation on Giant. I wouldn't have thought of Giant. Those might be the right ones.
