Looking for activities, day trips, etc. to do for my husband for Father's Day. Something fun and special for us to do as a family. Any ideas?
Going to brunch, a water park, and having a backyard BBQ.
We are most likely going kayaking as a family either at Mason Neck Park or Roosevelt Island. That is if Dad is up for it since he does most of the kayak packing himself. Not sure about food, we will grill if he wants to. We are also doing homemade cards, and I will make him a nice breakfast.
Whatever he plans because I'm turning 40 on Father's Day

going for a hike - probably great falls - with our new kelty kid carrier. i'll make breakfast and pack a lunch. grilling for dinner probably.
The Columbia Pike Blues Festival is this Saturday (in Arlington) - if your DH likes music, it's a fun, free event! Lots of good food, a beer truck, and some kid-friendly activities too. We've gone for the past several years, and we always have a great time!
Orioles v. Red Sox
Brunch!
We give each other the day off for Mothers Day and Fathers Day. So we will do cards and some presents in the morning and then he will go to the gym and have the day to himself.
It's this weekend?
zoo? that's what we did last year, and husband mentioned it again today. won't do anything else- it was exhausting.
With grandpa, too. |
Us, too. He's a big Red Sox fan. |
Nada. "Dad" left this fall and hasn't been to visit since. Luckily the kiddos are too young to know that it is Father's Day.
i'm considering a drunken dramatic reading of the "judgy wudgy" thread
