Organic corn?

Any stores in the area carry organic corn on the cob?
I went to whole foods, and it was only conventional. Same at Wegmans, Giant, Safeway... A bit concerned about GMO corn -- which I suppose most of it is. Delicious though. |

Corn is still not in season. In this area it's not harvested until July.
The corn you see in conventional grocery stores before then is trucked in from parts south of here. It's easy to believe that that stuff, shipped over distances in large quantity, is only available from large conventional farms. When corn is in season for our area, you'll see more local and more organic. |
