Are PG County Schools not condsidered Maryland Public Schools?

The PG posters are fewer in number than the MoCo posters so PG threads were a) getting quickly buried in the flurry of MoCo threads both on the MD Public and Private School boards, b) subject to non-PG posters telling us there are no decent schools in PG and that we were irresponsible parents for raising children in "unsafe" neighborhoods. Some of the posters asked if we could split into a separate PG forum in an attempt to get actual information and Jeff kindly obliged. Personally I've been thrilled because we've had some really good productive discussions on here since then and a great reduction in ugly comments.

It was people who live in PG who asked for the separate forum.

I live in PG. I wanted the separate forum.

But this has already been explained.
