Can I eat yogurt with "live active cultures"?

Is this safe during pregnancy? I'm talking about the new "slow-churned frozen yogurt."

Yes. You just want to watch out for unpasteurized dairy. Live cultures are great for your digestive system.

Absolutely. "Live Active" is exactly what you should be eating. Yogurts without "live active" are not nearly as good for you.

As for unpasteurized - unless you search hard, you won't find anything unpasteurized around here. Anything in the store is pasteurized.

Almost ALL yogurt has live active cultures. It is extremely healthy and beneficial for you. Because people are starting to understand how important good bacteria are for them, some products now have marketing which make it sound like it is something new and better and they like to point out their product has it. That's probably the case with whatever yogurt you are referring to. It's definitely safe to eat during pregnancy. In fact, since pregnancy is a time when women are more prone to yeast infections, a lot of women eat yogurt daily to help prevent against them.

I think the "live active cultures" make yogurt what it is - so, yes, by all means enjoy.

Obviously, watch out for anything unpastuerized (whether yogurt, cheese, milk, etc.), but I don't think those types of items are even allowed to be sold.

I wish just be weary of Activia - you might want to check the label, but I think there are more "good" cultures/bacteria in there than, say, a Dannon or Breyers yogurt because I think Activia is especially formulated to help get the GI tract going and if your GI tract doesn't need any help "getting going" than save your money and spend it on the regular yogurt.
