Last week I had some tingling on the right side of my mouth and I kept feeling it because it felt wet (like I was drooling a bit). I was able to ignore it and didn't think it was a big deal. Now it is happening quite frequently over the whole weekend.
Anyone know what could cause mouth tingling on one side and feeling like you're drooling but you aren't? I do not have oral herpes - never have so that isn't a concern. |
| Face feels sort of paralyzed? Bells palsy -- a virus. See you doctor, it is not serious. |
|
Look at symptoms for Bell's Palsy and if you think you have one or more, call your doctor today and ask where you should go to be seen. Getting on a steroid within a day or two of symptom onset can make shorten and minimize Bells Palsy.
|
| Agree with PPs. If it is Bells palsy and you catch it early enough, getting seen as early as possible will dramatically lessen the duration of symptoms. |

Any symptoms of Lyme disease? It can cause issues with the trigeminal nerve.

| My DD has epilepsy and her seizures start like that....tingling of her tongue or cheek. They don't always progress into convulsions. Tingling is nerve related. |

Thanks PPs. It's not Bell's Palsy (none of the symptoms on Dr. Google).
I am wondering about a nerve or TMJ or something. Maybe I am grinding my teeth at night? It is the oddest sensation

| bells's palsy |
Then why are you asking here? Clearly you are not giving all of your symptoms to us since Google has ruled it out. |
| Checking on you OP to see how you are? |
| Thanks PP. My General Practitioner said it was definitely not Bell's Palsy and referred me to my dentist. She said I have a deep overbite and we made a mold for a night guard... Should be done in 2 weeks. If it continues after the night guard, then I am supposed to see a neurologist... |
Is it any better? Glad it wasn't something they were crazy alarmed at. Good luck. |
