Early November getaway for anniversary

Anonymous
DH and I are trying to figure out where to go to celebrate our 10th anniversary at the beginning of November. No kids coming along! We'll have 3-4 days to ourselves. It's enough time to fly somewhere, but I don't want to spend too much of our time on the airplane. If we fly, I'd like to go somewhere warm enough to sit at the pool/beach. We're also open to driving someplace more local. (Totally understand that it's not going to be warm here at that time.) Budget is somewhere in the $2k range.

We're not interested in Cancun. DH suggested Napa, but that seems like a long flight.

Please help us find somewhere fun!

Friends of ours are going to Scottsdale and staying at the Four Seasons there. Not sure on rates, but they liked it so much last year, they are going again this year.

OP here. Thanks for the ideas. Savannah is interesting, tho not necessarily that warm. I will look into it. Hadn't thought about Scottsdale at all. Definitely not someplace either of us have been (New Orleans is out -- we've been done that in the past). We were thinking that it was too late to go to Bermuda, which striks us as a real warm weather place.

Where would you stay in Tulum?

Leaving wednesday for the very same type of trip and we decided on Bermuda. I love the caribbean and the low key, even trashy aspects of it. I also like the Riviera Maya and would highly recommend that. My husband is less into that type of thing so we are hitting bermuda. Short flight. Keep in mind, though, that Bermuda is more formal--at least so I have been told--and we are bringing dresses and blazers rather than tons of shorts and beach cover ups.
