Not a drinker myself, but since this seems to come up so often, I thought I'd post.

Thanks for posting the article. I forwarded it to my mother-in-law who is French...she responded essentially with a "duh." My in laws proceeded to tell me that it's fairly common in many European countries to have a small bit of wine with dinner, even when pregnant. I've even heard some doctors who tell women with high blood pressure to drink wine later in pregnancy.
