You and several thousand other people globally.

What function, what level, what's your expertise? If you're looking for a buyout position I assume you know the game and typical job specs and qualify.

ive done that and reached out to a few HR people there. im hoping to get a contact who is an employee and not an HR rep as another option.

PP, i get the company is a hot commodity and the role i am looking for is more internal on the operations side of things and not too much on the investment end of things. i know it will still be hard but ive tried for so long and think the role i am eyeing matches my skill sets the best that i just go for it all.

If you've seen an opening posted then try to find a referral from an alum or something. You'll have to speak with the alum first and make your pitch, then have them send your stuff in.

I work there, but who would jeopardize his/her professional reputation by referring someone they don't even know? I wouldn't.

I know some folks there. I doubt you'll find a way in, I'd put you in touch but as pp said...

Best way to do this is to go through a recruiter.

OP here.

im not assuming you would give me your email and i would send you my resume and expect you blindly forward it to someone. im not that dense.

if you are willing, i can pass you my resume, set up a time to speak with you about the position and my interest in the firm, and if you then feel that i am worthy and not some random unpolished person seeking a job, i appreciate your help in getting my resume in the right hands.

i get your concern and again i hope that holding a conversation with you or anyone would be the first thing to occur before you even consider helping me. furthermore, my resume could be pure garbage and even if you do talk to me, it probably still wont be worth helping me.

i know how this all works. im not an amateur. i respect you not wanting to put your reputation on the line though. thats a real concern.

you ARE an amateur if you think someone on THIS site is going to put you in touch with someone at Carlyle

I am an amateur because I don't know what Caryle is. I have a feeling I am supposed to be impressed but I am not.

What is it and why are they so great? Does everyone in the office make six figures while working from home and receiving free delivered lunches?
Anonymous
try 7 figures
