Can anyone who has run Lawyers Have Heart in Georgetown in the past please let me know: 1) is parking very difficult? and, 2) what is the restroom situation like? assuming porta-potties? do they get packed? (asking mostly because we will be attending with our newly potty trained DD!) are there any starbucks or other places open that early for use of the restrooms?
Thank you so much! |

I've always parked at the shops at Georgetown off M. It can be packed before the race starts. Not sure how the 5k early start will impact it this year.
There are a bunch of portapotties down near the start line. There are lines for them prior to the race start (busier the closer it gets), but once runners are on the course, should be no problem. There's a starbucks on M street near the start that I think is usually open before the race. But I'm not sure if it is open before the 7 am 5k start. In my experience, this is one of the biggest races in town, so be prepared for the crowds. |
| I've run it 2x. I park in the Georgetown Shops garage too. There are porta-pottie but make sure you get there early enough to wait in line for them. |
| Thanks for your responses! Had a great time on Sat and bathroom and parking worked out great! |
