| Need an implant in DC and would like recomendations of places and prices for both the implant and the tooth part (crown?) |
|
I recently had the implant done (in N VA), and it was $2500, but got reimbursed $800 for my dental insurance. The tooth itself, which will be put in a few weeks (after the bone grows around the implant) will be about $1300.
It's taking longer than i expected (had it done in may), and for two weeks you cannot eat anything but soft food. That sucks. Good luck! |
| Thanks, my dad says the one I got when I was 20 cost 7K and I was floored. Congenitally missing teeth are the worst. |
| Mine cost close to 4K when all was said and done. Dental insurance covered 30-40% of it. |
| Pp was your tooth loss congenital? I'm being denied based on preexisting condition. |
| Not sure what that means? I had mine replaced b/c I had a baby tooth that never loosened until my mid 30s and the adult tooth is in no position to drop down (it's laying horizontially in my gums). |
| I had mine done by Dr. Patron in Rosslyn. It cost me $2500 for the implant, and my dentist is charging me $800 for the crown. It was a really easy procedure, and I had no pain afterward. I didn't even need to take ibuprofen. And I was eating regular food a couple hours later. Mine was a molar, if that makes a difference. |
