Bagged carrot stick snacks.

So, I don't really like those pre-cut little carrot cylinders that you can buy in a bag, but they've become cheaper and cheaper - on my last 2 trips, they were cheaper than an average sized bag of normal carrots. My dad sent me some forward that said those little carrot things are poor quality and bad for you, but it didn't seem very factual. Thoughts?

Buy real carrots and cut them yourself. The bagged "baby carrots" have been peeled and treated with something nasty that makes them spongy and gross.

Get a mandolin if you don't like to chop.

Ok, 17:33 again. Just did the research and I stand a bit corrected. They are sometimes treated with chlorine, but rinsed afterward, so that's probably not an issue.

However, they have been bred to have more sugar than regular carrots, so they will appeal to kids.

They aren't just regular carrots cut into that particular shape?
