Home Warranty Companies

I hope I am posting in the correct forum. Please can you recommend your Home Warranty Company if you use one. We do not want to use American Home Shield any more. Thank you

We have had great luck with Old Republic.

I had crap luck with Old Republic. They never could get anyone out in under five days, including when I had a broken faucet with water coming out that I couldn't stop. I also googled the companies they were going to send, and they all had horrible BBB ratings. I always paid for real people to come and cancelled the warranty call. Needless to say, I didn't renew.

They all suck, it's a marketing tool for the buyer

I've had both previously mentioned companies and both sucked. It's nice to have for the first year in a new house in a new location while you're figuring out reliable contractors, but the nitpicky items they will and won't fix drove me nuts. Home Shield is a little better than Old Republic, imho.

I Used 2-10 home warranty. They were just ok. There were some things they should not cover, which was annoying.

I say use angies list to learn about repair people instead of buying a home warranty

we used American Homes Shield and have had pretty good luch to the point that it has paid for itself a few times over. Lke when part of our furnace/the moror burned out on the coldest weekend of the winter. They sent someone out to fix it on a sunday morning. We paid $60 for the call and I can guarentee it would have been pretty expensive to find someone to come on the weekend if we didn't have the warrenty.
