Field Hockey for Tweens in Farifax County

I've been looking into field hockey for my daughter. I've found a couple teams for under 10 and under 12, but I'm wondering if there are any parents out there that can give me more info. Is it big in NoVa? Our high school has it, do most? What leagues are there in the area I should consider? Are there various levels (recreational, travel)?

My 2nd grader did Great Falls in the Fall (through Great Falls Lacrosse) and did a clinic this Spring through McLean Field Hockey.

FPYC has a program in the Spring as well. Think that starts at 4th grade.

My daughter did it in the Spring of last year - 3rd grader with Burke AC.
