| He's going to be teaching my younger son a sport at our house once a week for about an hour during the summer. He's one of the neighborhood kids. I have no idea! Thanks in advance for any help! |
| $10/hr. |

How much do you pay a babysitter? Then add in something for the additional expertise. Perhaps $20?.
|
| Closer to $10 |
|
$10/ hour plus some gatorade.
I assume you will be close by - like at your house. Don't assume a 14 year old boy knows certain things like If you hear thunder you must bring come in the house, most boys think it is see lightning. Then you wait 30 minutes. Waterbreak every 1/2 hour (80 degree day) or 15 minutes when it is really hot. Sound like fun. |
| At least $15 if he's actually any good at the sport. |
| Offer $10 and unlimited cold drinks. |
ya 10 seems low, 20 seems high, do 15 plus have food |
| I would say about 10-15 dollars an hour.Kids love money. |

$10 per hour. Keep in mind that he's 14, presumably with no work or babysitting experience. While it's true that he'll be imparting a skill, he's not a trained teacher/coach and baseball at the level played by most 14 year olds isn't exactly a rare skill set.

In McLean 13 and 14 year olds can earn $25 per game umping Little League games. If they are behind the plate it is $50. The games are usually around 2 hours long. They get paid if at least one pitch has been thrown before rain cancellation. They get paid for the partial games made up after rain - so many games are shorter. DC got paid for three outs one time. |
| My 14 yo DS was on the varsity tennis team this year. I think $10 for an hour of tennis would be too little. When he was younger, I paid his cousin at least $15 hour to play a full hour with him, maybe more. |
