I loved the earlier thread on updated baby care tips for our parent's generation. I sent it to my mom and while she already knew about most things she was still grateful. Now I'm looking for a good book or two for my stepmom (who never had her own kids) and my dad (who was not very involved in infant care with me or my brother). They are excited and looking forward to helping us and babysitting but are a bit nervous. Any good infant care 101 books out there for them? Thanks! |
Bump. Really? Nobody has any book recommendations? |
Personally, I think the hands-own time with you and your child is most valuable. Every child is so different, and so is every parent, that you can probably relay your preferences most easily and quickly in person. Most grandparents probably don't need to read a whole chapter on crying it out, for instance, but just to know what your take on it is. |
