| 2 months ago boss said we were transferring abroad to start up an office (some of you may remember my thread). To prepare,we backed out of a house we were prepared to put an offer on (our apt is too small for a soon to be one year old),i reworked my grad school classes over the summer so i could take classes online while abroad, and we paid off some debts. DH comes home today and says his boss is starting to rethink it. Dh will walk if this happens (he is not concerned about getting a new job),but i am basically effed school wise as there is no way i can rework my classes gain. And I've made some financial decisions (paying off debt) in anticipation of the move. For the record, the dae was set for Auguat 18th to move. Ugh. Apologize for spelling errors, i am 3/4 of my way done with a bottle of wine |

Calm down, calm down. The boss is starting to rethink. He may not actually rethink, and you might still travel on August 18th, correct?
So, waiting is a difficult game, but try not to worry beyond that. As for your grad classes, you can still take them online, graduate on time, write your thesis, etc? And real estate had a bad year. Not such a terrible thing staying in your current place a little longer (we stayed in our one-bedroom until our second child was 1.5...). |

Yes, this will suck. However, boss seems undecided. Hopefully your husband told him about all of the arrangements and sacrifices you've already made,
Watch what you post here... you don't want to burn any bridges or reveal and identifying info and you're getting close to that. |

Op here : drinking is a result of this plus having a cranky and teething baby for 4 days alone while DH was away, a stressful week coming up hw wise, and the news of the possibility that we may not be moving.
Grad school unfortunately cannot be reworked to graduate on time. Some classes are pre reqs for others that i can do online, so.i opted to do those in the fall/spring and take non pre reqs this summer. The 3 classes I will have after the pre reqs are done cannot be taken online. So I'm stuck. |
