Does your coffee maker make delicious coffee?
Please suggest what I should get. Not interested in the Kuerrig/ one cup makers. |
| I love my cuisinart brew central. Great tasting steaming hot coffee and we set it the evening before to wake up to ready coffee |
| French press. Easy, perfect every time. |
| Cook's Illustrated recommends the Technivarm, if you can afford it ... |
Yep. What more do you need? |
|
Capresso MT600
Capresso and Technivorm are two brands that properly heat the water temperature hot enough. |

| Definitely a french press. |
I appreciate this link and was thinking about ordering one. I like the fact that the water gets very hot, and it has a shower-type head for spraying water over the grounds. I also read some negative reviews about the carafe breaking. Which kind do you have? Thanks for your thoughts. |
| Still love the Cuisinart Grind and Brew. Love the smell of those beans grinding. |
Hi. We saw those reviews too so we did end up getting the thermal carafe. Have had it only a week but we love it. Makes really great coffee. |
PP here. Thanks! It does seem that the people who wrote the positive reviews are very pleased--not middle of the road comments. |
I'm one of the french press posters, but if you're getting one of these super-duper drip machines, I would totally get the thermal carafe. I always envy these when I'm with my friends who have them. Great for hosting. |
| If you like really hot coffee don't get a thermal carafe. It only starts hot and cools down from there. |
|
True, but it cools even faster in a regular carafe. Fresh and hot is best, but it'll stay fresher and hotter longer for the guests in a thermal than in a glass.
30 min. after it's brewed, I'd rather you pour me a cup from the thermal than from the regular one. (Assuming you're not going to make me a fresh pot.) |
