ISO personal trainer (weights focused) Arlington

Anonymous
Working mommy of 3 little ones who has managed to carve out some time for cardio (running) and yoga. However, I've hit that age where my metabolism is much slower and I know I need to start adding weight training.

I don't have a gym membership at the moment. Any suggestions on how to find a good personal trainer? Or does anyone have a recommendation (Arlington based)? I'm looking for someone who can develop a program for me to build muscle and strength. I've considered CrossFit but I'm concerned about getting hurt and I think if I'm going to spend that much $$ I'd like some one-on-one training to start.

I'm really hoping to find someone good via word-of-mouth instead of just signing up at one of the gyms hoping that their personal trainers are good. I'm reasonabily fit. What I'm looking for is to put on some muscle.

TIA!

I have not tried him myself, but Nelson Mendes of livefitarlington.com gets great reviews on MONA.

There's a woman who's a personal trainer who's doing a free fitness session tomorrow in Monroe Park - corner of Monroe & 14th Streets South. I don't remember her name, but someone posted it on our neighborhood list serv. It's at 9:00am.
