| Besides Sriracha, Franks,Choula and the other standards, what other hot sauces are good? I loved Valentina in Mexico and picked up a bottle in world market - love it in black bean soup, eggs, and on pizza. I like Sriracha but I already use it and know what I like it on so I'm looking for other suggestions maybe not commonly known. |
| You covered all of what I always have on hand, with the exception of sambal. I'm not sure it exactly qualifies as a "hot sauce" and might be more of an "ingredient." But I use it in anything even remotely asian, and often mix it in to scrambled eggs. |
| I'm liking Peri Peri sauce (have seen a variety of spellings). It's available at Nando the Portuguese/African chicken place. |
| Lizano! Picked up bottles and bottles of it in Costa Rica. |
| Gochujang is a Korean hot sauce that we love. |
| Tapatio is adictingly good. |

I hate Choula.
Love Sriracha. Love Tobasco. I've recently taken to hopping fresh fresnos or jalapeƱos on things. It's bright and spicy and easy. I love spicy. |
| Marie Sharp! |
I love the green stuff that comes with Peruvian chicken (like from Pollo Rico in Arlington)-- I would eat it with a spoon. I'm not sure if you can buy it bottled, but whenever I go out for Peruvian chicken, I get extra. I used to work in an office where we stockpiled it in the community fridge.

Agreed, it's so good. Hot and garlicly. |
| DH likes Texas Pete |
| Love the pepper co. Sauces. The red one and the mango one |

Dave's Gourmet hot sauces. http://store.davesgourmet.com/SearchResults.asp?Cat=38
I'm only had two, but they are both fantastic: Dave's Ultimate Insanity hot sauce is the single hottest hot sauce I've ever had and it still has great flavor. A little dab goes a LONG way. Also the Roasted Garlic hot sauce is quite good, too, especially for a medium heat sauce. |
| Virginia gentlemen bourbon hot sauce. Love it on grilled chicken. I get mine from balducci and Harris teeter sometimes has it too |
| My current favorite is the Serrano Ginger hot sauce from Wisteris Gardens, a local producer that sells at various local farmers markets, as well as online. Not insanely hot, but a really great flavor. |
