Au Bon Pain orange scones are no more...sad feelings

Anonymous
I just discovered that Au Bon Pain no longer makes their orange scones. I loved those things! An iced coffee and orange scone has been a tradition for me for a decade. If anyone else feels the same way, consider emailng the company to ask for them back. Yes, I know I sound like nut job...I'm just bummed. feedback@aubonpain.com

I've never had those, but am in love with the orange scone at Panera. Try it - maybe you'll find a new love.

Oh no! I loved those.

The orange cranberry ones at Trader Joes are TDF.

Second the trader joes ones..they are amazing. I ate the whole bag in two days.

OP, here. Thank you orange scone support group! I will look to Panera and TJ's for love and affection in my hour of orange scone-free need.

Whaaaaat? I've probably had fewer than five in the past five years, but those scones and I go way back - I distinctly remember having one in Boston in the 90s during a college visiting trip! And then in grad school the nearby ABP had half-off baked goods in the afternoon... many, many orange scones were eaten.

They used to have those same scones with a chocolate coating, and I LOVED them. I have seriously mourned them over the past few years.

mmm....I liked those orange scones at ABP too, but man, were they ever not so good for you! (actually, I've been buying less pastry at ABP now that they post their nutritional content!)

I know exactly how you feel...I LOVED those orange scones. My life has been full of these type of things. If there is something on a menu I like a log...rest assure it will be gone from the menu after not too long....

My favorite is the white and dark chocolate dipped shortbread cookie. PLEASE do not tell me how many calories are in it; I don't want to know.

Orange scone lady, I love you!

I am in agreement with you. I have tried the Panera ones. The Au Bon Pain ones were better.

Sorry op. I hate when favorites disappear. Definitely let the company know it’s upsetting to you. Customer complaints matter! Hope you find an adequate substitute.

I don’t go to Au Bon Pain much any more, but that’s where I began my love affair with the chocolate croissant .
