follow up with HR or with the hiring supervisor after an interview?

| I had an interview a few weeks ago for a Federal job and haven't heard anything yet. I thanked the hiring panel and the HR contact after the interview, but I'd like to follow up to let them know I'm still interested and see if I can get any news about their progress. Good idea or bad idea? Should I follow up with the hiring panel, the would-be supervisor (was on the panel) or the HR POC? |

Well haven't heard back from the supervisor all week - obviously I didn't get the job...
