How do they make money? Sorry, but I just don't understand this stuff. Like Facebook and it's value. Where are these companies making money/profits in order to command the value that is placed on them, or set the price of stocks?

To me, tumblr is priceless. I'm so mad that that maternity leave eschewing, work-from-home hating shrew bought them out. Nothing good can come of it.
