10 weeks and my morning sickness is gone ... normal?

Anonymous
I guess I should be thrilled since I've felt like absolute crap for four weeks now, but no, I'm worried. My morning sickness has tapered off pretty dramatically in the last couple of days. Yesterday, just a little sickness in the morning and evening, but nothing severe. And then today, I woke up feeling totally normal.

Is this cause for worry or should have others experienced the same?

Thank you!

I wouldn't say it is a cause for worry. Maybe you are just lucky. But you know what--call your doctor if you are worried. That's what they are there for.

Mine tapered off dramatically at about 12 weeks. The baby was fine and is now almost 18. I don't think it's cause for worry, but call your doctor just to be sure. Good luck!

My OB told me to call her if mine went away around that time. Do you still have other symptoms?

OP here. Thanks for your replies. I didn't really have other symptoms other than morning sickness. My breast have never really been sore. I've had some food aversions and those are still present, but those have come and gone over the past month. Sometimes I can eat everything and sometimes I only want toast - it's random.

I just left a message at my OB's office. I saw the doctor on Tuesday and had an u/s and everything was fine. Still, this is nervewracking.

Not the OP, but why would she want you to call? Just curious - isn't morning sickness supposed to end between 10 - 12 weeks as the placenta takes over?

I am the first PP from above. I remember having unpredictable hunger during the first pregnancy and certainly during my current pregnancy. I think that is a pregnancy symptom--like, your belly is too full for food but there are days when I could eveything in sight. It's very nervewracking but you haven't said anything that sounds off--glad you called your OB. Welcome to a lifetime of worry!

Sooo jealous... 10 weeks and everyday I wake up hoping that this will be the day I feel better. I've heard lots of people say that their m/s stopped around 10 weeks, I wouldn't worry- just consider yourself lucky!!

Why on earth would you share this? I'm pretty sure that the OP is looking for reassurance. And then with the snide, "good luck." You suck, PP.

X1000. Obvious troll. Just ignore.

OP - My morning sickness ended at 8 weeks and I was pregnant with twins - who are now very healthy five month olds napping away.

Mine go remarkably better around 10-11 weeks so I think it just depends. But I would call your OB's office and ask what they think. They may have you come in just in case or provide reassurance.
