Help with transition from formula to milk

My son is almost 1, so I'm starting to think about the transition to milk. How do I do this? My son currently has formula 4 times per day - first thing in the morning, after his morning nap, after his afternoon nap, and before bed. I know I need to replace the formula with milk, but clearly he's not supposed to have milk at all of these times. Do I need to change up his eating schedule as well? (i.e., breakfast first thing in the morning instead of formula?). I'm totally confused about how to do this. Thanks for any advice!

it's a combination of weaning from the bottle, eating more solids, and drinking milk but not as much as they were formula.

-You can mix the formula and milk for a while so your son gets used to the taste
-Maybe replace one bottle with a meal or snack of solid foods instead.
-we used Nuby bottles/sippy cups as a transition cup between sippy cups and bottles for milk because my son didn't like to use the Avent cups for water and the Nuby has a nipple-like top. you can ge these Nuby cups in CVS.

Right now my son is 2 and he roughly every 3 hours, so 6, 9, 12, 3, and 6. These are all solid food meals with water or milk served with the meal. (Maybe one watered-down juice during the day too). This is mostly on track with his daycare eating schedule too.

When we first did the transition, we kept all the times the same. We just replaced the formula with milk in the bottle. Once that happened, we replaced the middle-of-the day bottles with sippy cups, with a little less milk in them. Then we replaced the morning one with a sippy cup--but still with about 6 oz of milk. We just hit 13 months, and we're about to replace the night time one with a cup. The mid-day ones are more sporadic. I like to give her water with meals, but at least once in the afternoon, I'll give her a sippy cup with milk. She rarely finishes it when its in a cup, so I don't feel like she's getting too much.

We did the same as the PP. First kept all the times the same and just replaced some of the formula with milk in the bottle. Do this slowly and watch for diaper issues. We started with just an ounce or two of milk and slowly upped it over the course of a couple weeks. Then we started switching daytime bottles for the sippy cup. They may not drink as much out of the cup for a few days but just up give some extra yogurt or cheese on those days. We ended up just eliminating the bedtime bottle at this point. DD would eat dinner and have milk in the sippy with us around 6:00 pm and then go to bed
