S/O FILIAL SUPPORT LAWS

Anyone encounter this scenario when dealing with financially destitute parents?
Anyone afraid this could happen to them...what if the parent lives in state with these laws, but you do not?

This is scary. But I can't imagine these decisions can't be appealed successfully.

Pennsylvania is the only state that has tried to enforce these, afaik, and even then in very rare circumstances.

Yep....Pennsylvania..and my father just died in a nursing home there...medicaid pending?

State Supreme court refused to hear this man's case...plus....if you don't have money to fully support your parents...and pay their bills...who says you have money to fight these crazy lawsuits??
