dog sitter rates

Hi- I was wondering what people are paying these days to have someone shouse and dog sit when they go away for a week. I see dog walking rates on this site but nothing for actually staying at the home. Thanks.

If you are in the District you can try BrighterDaysCollective.com. They are dog walkers and will pet sit in your house. I beileve that the going rate is $60 per day. We had someone come stay at our house with our pup when we went away last fall.

We pay $50 for an overnight, so a full week would be $350.

It seems like a lot but totally worth it to have the dogs stay in their own own, stay on own schedule etc, plus you have someone to water plants and get mail etc.

She can stay during but for us we had her just come by walk the dogs feed and water twice a day. Is that what you were looking for? Shes a bit younger but very responsible and she was great with our German shepherd. I can give you a name, ill email it to you. If youre okay with posting your email here.

Thanks, but I think I need more care than that - my dog needs to go out 3-4x/day (she is small), and I need someone who will stay overnight as well.

Bumping this. Anyone know what to charge a neighbor to come by 2x a day for an hour or so to keep a small dog company and to walk her? The dog is litter trained so the walks are for fun/excercise. She's college age and her family has dogs. It would be for 3 days.
