| How much would you spend for a grad gift for your DC's best friends? What would you give? Everyone's having parties, so we would give the gift then. |
|
For a high school grad? $200. Visa Gift card for $100, and maybe a $50 gift card to Starbucks or whatever coffee place the grad likes that's near their college, and a $50 iTunes one or something like that.
College grad? Probably about $500. For a girl, some nice, grownup jewelry.http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/sterling-silver-necklace-sapphire-oval-pendant-1-1-6-ct-tw?ID=694302&CategoryID=9569&LinkType=#fn=GENDER%3DFemale%26sp%3D9%26spc%3D2646 For a college grad that's a boy, maybe a watch. |
I have 5 HS graduations this year. I'm doing $100 each. I just can't swing $200. |
| I'd spend about $75. Probably just give cash. |
| Wow. DS gadated HS last year and no one gave him more than $100 (which I thought was generous). |
|
When I graduated from HS I got a monogrammed towel in my college colors. A friend's mom did this for all of us. I loved it.
You could do that and $100. |
Maybe we just travel in different social circles, you know? |
What are your social circles? |
|
OP here. Calm down ladies, it's just a question that I and many others are wondering the answer to this time of year. No need for nastiness, please.
I like the towel idea, plus a gift card. |
Lol, I have no idea how to answer that. I guess my social circle is one that goes big for gifts related to important milestones. Give what you're comfortable with. Gifts should make both the giver and receiver happy. |
| I think $100 is very generous. |
I also think that's very generous for a child's friend. |
