What is making this noise outside at night?

| Last nite, near the bushes/brush, I could hear this noise that sounded like a water leak, but then I realized it was a sort of chirping or something. My fear is mice or a skunk with babies or something. What do mice sound like? |

| There was a baby squirrel in our yard this weekend making a chirping sound like a bird. In fact I thought it was a bird making the noise all day until I discovered that it was the squirrel. The noise was unlike those of mature squirrels. |
